We believe that Missions are an integral part of following Jesus. And we believe that this begins in our own community and flows to the world. Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 16:15 to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” We are His disciples and we want to follow His command. We obviously cannot physically go to every part of the world, but we can pray and follow God’s leading in who we can financially support in doing so. Below are the Missions we support, including the SLF Street Ministry.

SLF Street Ministry – This is led by Kathy Hudson. Kathy has a passion for people who feel left behind and unseen, including those living on the street and bound by addiction. The Street Ministry goes out to the streets of Charleston on Thursdays and speaks to everyone who God leads them to. We have had many success stories of people finding Jesus, going to recovery and getting clean, getting back on their feet, and being reunited with their families. To God be all the glory! If you would like to help financially support the street ministry, you can do so by giving on our Givelify page (link below). If you would like to join forces with our street ministry, please reach out to us and we will get you in contact with Kathy.

Josiah and Cynthia Hubbard -   The Hubbards are missionaries in Costa Rica and serve the indigenous people who are considered outcasts in their community. They share the gospel with them and help them to obtain skills and education needed to help them care for their families. For more information, please visit their website at Missionary Spotlight: Josiah and Cynthia Hubbard - News + Resources (foursquare.org) or https://resources.foursquare.org/business-as-mission-in-the-rainforest/.

Blessing Israel – This ministry is led by Darrell and Magel Stapleton, pastors of Glen Fork Church of God in Glen Fork, WV (near Beckley). They personally take all money received to the nation of Israel and distribute to the needy and the widows.  Israel is God’s chosen nation, and we want to help support the people there as much as we can. The Stapleton’s also organize group tours to Israel on occasion. Pastor Cook and Pastor Jim joined them a few years ago. They do not have a website; however, you can find their church Facebook page at Glen Fork Church of God | Facebook.

George Omollo and Melone Adhiambo -   George and Melone pastor the Deliverance Church Airport in Kisumu, Kenya. Together, with their congregation, they also minister to the HIV community, who have been forgotten by the government and receive little to no assistance. They share the Gospel with them as well as help them to learn skills that can help provide for their families. Pastor Jim, his daughter, and Kathy Hudson travelled to Kisumu in November 2022 for a mission’s trip. They were able to meet the community, see the work that is being done and assist in meeting people’s needs.  Pastor George visited the states in July 2023 to assist us in our ministry efforts, as well as visit various churches in the area to gain support for their mission.  They are hoping to build a clinic to help their community and are asking for monetary support.  They currently do not have a website detailing their work, but Pastor Jim can assist with any questions you may have.

Spirit Wheel Allegiance -  Gary (Chief) and Julia Kelley are founders of this Mission. They help the Navajo people. They also travel around to different communities in the US that have been affected by natural disasters to provide support. Please visit their website for more information: https://spiritwheelallegiance.com/.
